Harmony Acres is dedicated to
raising a quality Friesian horse for sale that will be the perfect equine companion for trail, dressage and pleasure.
We also breed and sell Friesian Sport Horses, focusing on the Friesian x Welsh Cob cross. We are located in Middlebury,
Vermont.
We do not believe in crossing our purebred mares, and we breed our mares
to approved Friesian stallions with a view towards producing top quality Friesian horses.
We also enjoy
raising foals from our part-Friesian/Welsh cob mares, bred to purebred Friesian stallions. These mares produce
offspring with a high percentage of Friesian blood, which have the majestic look and flowing movements of their purebred
relatives, but are slightly smaller in stature. Our Friesian crosses enjoy the same temperament and
athletic ability as the purebreds and are well suited for dressage and trail riding.
Our foals are imprinted at birth, are handled daily and
start learning the Parelli 7-games as yearlings. As 2 year olds, our horses learn to lunge and ground drive,
and are ready for light saddle work when they reach 3. The combination of our training methods and the willing nature
of the Friesian breed as a whole, allow us to offer either a purebred Friesian or Friesian sport horse that is suited to the
casual or professional equestrian.
